33 CHARGES OF THEFT
YOUNG MAN’S CAREER OF CRIME
DETENTION FOR THREE YEARS,
Allan Edward Ross, aged 28, in the Wellington Magistxlate’s .Court ; on Wednesday admitted 33 charges of theft and three of obtaining credit by fraud. The offences were committed between August, 1930, and February of
this year. It was stated that Ross had been all over the North Island. He would represent to boardinghouse-keepers that he was taking over a bakery business in the place, obtain credit for board, rob the rooms of other boarders, and move on. ; He wms ordered to be detained for reformative purposes l for a period not exceeding three years. On a charge of failing to comply with the terms of a , maintenance order in regai*d to his wife he was convicted and discharged.
