COMPETITION BY BUYERS,

Keen competition by a large number of buyers was forthcoming at the fortnightly sale of the Associated Auctioneers held at Waverley on Friday, rierne 4000 sheep of all classes were yarded, and a particularly good line of Romney ewe lambs on account of Mr. R, D. Wybourne attracted buyers from many districts north and south of Waverley. The line, of 700, was well grown and brought up to 9s 7d a head under auction.

Quotations arc as follows; Maiden 4-tooth ewes, 11s 9d to 12s 6d; m.a. wethers, 8s 8d; 4 and 5-ycar ewes, 6s Sd; fattening owes, 12s; b.f. lambs, 7s 3d, Bs, 8s 3d; Rom. ewe lambs!, ss, 6s 2d, 7s 7d, to 9s 7d; Rom. rams, 1 guinea to 1J guineas.
