NEW AIR ROUTE OPENED

SERVICE WITH CENTRAL AFRICA The new Empire air route connecting London with Central Africa was inaugurated by Imperial Airways on February 28, when a nine-ton air liner left Croydon with mails and freight for India and North and Central Africa. There wore 50 hags of mail containing apporximately 40,000 letters.
