MOXTHLY AIEETLNH. 'The usual monthly meeting of Iho Da tea Girl Guidos Association was held a the Town Hall supper room at 7.30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 3, Mrs. F. Ramshottom presiding. Alosd-ames C. Carey. X. Goad, P. Spooner. Bnrnand, T, A. Prescott, and Misses T. Gibson, M. Ilamerlon. W. Kenworthy, .Muriel Hamerton, A. Gibbs, A. Bnrnand, and the bon. secretary were'also present. The mi antes of the previous meeting were read ami continued. Airs. C. Masters wrote tendering her resignation from the association. The resignation was received with regret, Members speaking highly of her work whilst lieutenant and as a member of he committee. The provincial secretary wrote ad.isbv.g that the fpiurterly meeting of the provincial committee would be ;eld in New Plymouth on March- 13. It was decided to ask Divisional Commissioner Houston to represent the association at the meeting. The secretary reported a credit balance of £l2 13s 9d in the Post OUT" Savings Bank. Accounts totalling 9s 3d were passed ■for payment and it was resolved to pay Mrs, ’ Lovell's expenses in connection with Iho judging of the recent flower show. It was decided not to .send notices of regular monthly meetings in future. The president 'reported that the. Guides' flower show had been most mccessfuil, the exhibits being a credit to the children. Airs. Lovell, of Hawera, and Airs. G. I. Paterson, of Patea, had very kindly judged the flowers and cooking resncctivcly. Airs, Prescott '.reported that the Guides had .spout a. most instructive and enjoyable time at the rally in WeiHgton, when they had appeared before Cord -and Lady Baden Powell. The" were heartily welcomed everywhere and thoroughly enjoyed the fixture. Ten Guidos and two Guiders had gone from Patca and six Guides and two 'aiders from Alton. It was decided that the Brownies re-eommenee on Saturday next in the Borough Council chambers at 2 p.m. On the motion of Afiss Gibbs, second'd by Afiss Gibson, it was rosolv- 1 that Mrs. T. Robins, of Alton, be appointed to the committee, subject to her approval. On the motion of Airs. Prescott, seconded by Aliss Kenworthy, it was resolved that £1 be donated to the local earthquake relief fuAd. The meeting then rose.
