FATAL MOTOR ACCIDENT

KETvATAHI RESIDENT KILLED. A fatal accident occurred on the main road at Taneatua at 0 o'clock on Saturday night, when a light car driven by R. Mitchell, sheep-fanner of Taneatua. crashed into two pedestrians going in the same direction, killing Lance Poster, aged 50. farmer, of Kchatahi, and sligtitly injuring J. Ferguson, farmer, of Taneatua. Both are old residents of the district. Ferguson was admitted to the Whakatane Hospital.
