PATEA LIFE SAVING CLUB
CHAMPIONSHIP MEETINO. LOCAL COMPETITORS. The following teams will represent Patea at the New Zealand championships at Wanganui on Saturday next. March 7:— Nelson Shield: A. H. Currie (rapt.). R. A. Adams, P. A. Bowke, G. 8. Fraser, E. H. Green, E. A,. Oakley, H. T. Gunn, 0. Close. Wm. Henry Memorial Competition: A. B. Currie leapt.) and reel man, R. A. Adams belt, P. A. Bourke line, G. S, Fraser patient. The team, although it has been practicing assiduously for some time past,' does not anticipate securing championship honours, but hopes to benefit by the experience gained. Local swimming enthusiasts who have seen the team in action declare they are certain to give a good account of themselves.
