PERSONAL
Mrs. W. N. Stephenson, of Now Plymouth, was a visitor to Patea for the wmek-end. when she was the guest of Miss Kelly. Word was received recently from Mr, P. M. Spurdle, formerly teacher at the Opaku School, to the eflect that he intended remaining in England foi another live years. At present he is continuing his studies af Loudon Dniversity, where he hoped to take his degree as Doctor of Philosophy.
