WAVERLEY
SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGES. SUIT AGAINST WAVEHLEV MAN. £125(1 general damages and £2-12 special damages were awarded V. .T. Hellyar, school leaelier, New Plymouth, at the conclusion on Wednesday night of a ease that has occupied the attention of the Supreme Court at Wanganui for the past three days. The ease was one in which Hellyar iproccedted aguiirsl Herbert Morrison, farmer, Wuverley, for damages for physical injury sustained in a collision between a motoi oar driven by defendant and a motor cycle ridden -by plaintiff. The collision occurred near Waverley last Labour Day. Hellyar was severely burned and sustained serious injuries, which necessitated his removal to the Patea Hospital, and the injuries resulted in permanent Incapacity.
