AUCKLAND SEAMEN’S FLEA PAILS. Two seamen caught looting after the big lire in Hobson Street, Auckland, last week wore convicted on Friday of stealing live pairs of shoes. They pleaded that they hud been instructed by firemen to assist in salvaging. Owen Mulholland was sentenced to three months’ imprisonment, and Godfrey John Green was lined £5 or two months.
