BURIED STOCKS BROACHED
Workmen hying gas pipes in Barstrasse, West Berlin, burned up a number of gas containers and were affected by the fumes. Firemen wearing gas masks removed the uuexploded containers, which formed part: of the surplus stock of a chemical factory. It is estimated that 100,000 eightinch containers, were buried in the vicinity. The authorities point out that tin l efl’wts of the gas are. not serious if inhaled in only small quantities. .
