ARMED FORCES RETREAT
DANGER OF CLOSE CONTACT.
CHINESE FRONTIER TENSION.
The Chinese and Russian troops arc reported to .be withdrawing from the frontier in order to lessen the danger of an armed clash and to facilitate the peace negotiations. A Harbin telegram states that the opposing forces ire 20 miles apart.
