THE PATEA ASSOCIATION.

MEETING OP COMMITTED. A meeting of the committee of the Patca Boxing Association will be hold in the Borough Council chambers tomorrow (Thursday) evening at 7.30. JOHNNIE LECKIE DEFEATED. SARK ON HAS AN EASY VICTORY. A stirring return fight between J. Leckie (New Zealand) and Sarron (America) saw the latter avenge a former points defeat by knocking out the New Zealander in the 13th round. Sarron had the best of the bout all through, only Leckie’s wonderful grit staving off the end so long. DELANEY DEFEATS CONNORS. In a professional featherweight boxing contest of 15 rounds in Wellington Bobbie Delaney defeated Ern Connors on points. At one stage of the contest the public showed decided displeasure with the contestants.
