THE PATE A CLUB. ANA UAL GENERAL MEETING. The annual general .meeting ol: the above club was held in the County Council chambers on Friday night, there being a good attendance of members. The noting secretary reported o'n the past season’s activities and stated that the club had a credit balance of two pounds odd, which was quite satisfactory, as the expenses of the past season had been heavy. 'Tim chairman, Mr. P. H Finlay son, moved the adoption of the report and Adamc-shect, subject to audit. The election of officers for the ensuing year was then proceeded with, and resulted as follows: — Patron: Mr. H. G. Dickie, M.P. P. esident: Mr. P. 13. Finlayson. Vice-presidents: Dr. Simmons, Messrs F. Kamsbottom, -I. D. Fairweather, t\. R. Morse, E. Woollright, .1. Paterson. A. T. Christensen, G. Thorburn, and Captain Tinncy. Secretary: Mr. G. Fraser. Assistant Secretary: Mr. F. S. Spooner. Committee; Messrs. Haddow, Adams, Moore, ,1. O’Grady, P. O’Grady, Pauling, Partridge, F. S. McKenna, Smyles, Cousins, and G. Morse, Hardicapper: Mr. C. Gardiner. Field Event llandicapper: F. S. McKenna. Delegate to Centre: Mr. G. Henson. Hon. Auditor: Mr. F. T. Ray. It was decided not to hold any evening runs until after the Boxing Day spoils, and thus enable the committee to coneeu 1 rale on making the sport an mC'dandlng success. A .-ah-conunittcc consisting of Messrs Haddow, Gardiner. Adams, and the secretaries was appointed to draw up a programme for Boxing Day. A motion was put and carried requesting (he secretary to write and invite the Patoa Brass Bard to attend the sports on Boxing - Day. The question of including Highland e'euls on this year’s programme was discussed ni length, and there is every probability that this year Highland dancing and piping - events will form a large and important part of the Boxing Day programme. After this discussion the meeting cioscd with a hearty vole of thanks to the chair.
