LONDON PRODUCE MARKET
ADVANCE OF 2s FOR BUTTER. QUOTATION FOR CHEESE SAME. "With the lowest price lor New Zealand salted Rutter up .s and the quotation for unsalted butter advanced by a similar amount on a firm Loudon market,. there is every indication of stability, according' to a dairy authority interviewed by a reporter at the weekend. Tn spite of the arrival of the Pallet a with SOUU crates during the week cheese had maintained its price on a steady market, he said. Prices seemed likely to keep up, though New Zealand exports were now begUning to reach Great Britain. Variations would probably not be serious so long as the docking of several steamers together was avoided, thus bringing on the market / more than could lie conveniently absorbed at the one time. A private cable -received in New Zealand at the week-end gave the following prices ruling in Loudon during the week ended Thursday last: — New Zealand butter: Salted 174 s to 17Ss, unsalted 1925; market linn. New, Zealand cheese: .AVhite 1975, coloured. 104 s; market steady. The only- arrival during the week was the Pakeh'a. The prices the previous week were: 'Putter, salted, 172 s to 178 s, unsalted 190 s; cheese, white 107 s, coloured 104 s.
