• A STRANGE VISIT'OK. ‘ The arrival in school oh Thursday Ot a live kiwi caused much interest to the scholars, particularly those who had not sceu this native of New Zealand before. The .bird was caught in"' uu oppossuiu trap on ilr. 1’ . Ell’s property, near Waverley, and'was brought to the school by Mr. G. Spratt, chairmah of the committee. During the afternoon Mr. Browning, the headmaster, delivered an interesting address to the children on the life and habits of the kiwi, after which Mr. Spratt took the bird to his home, where he hopes it will bo content to make its home in future. ,
