AVAIEOA SUB-UNION. The second match of the Jirst round in ,th.c' JWairoa Sub-Union, between Wailotara and Kauru, resulted in a win tor Waitotara by IS to 5. Air. E. P. Symes was referee.

The match Waverley v. Ivai Iwi resulted in a win for Waverley by 37 to nil. Air. F. P. Alonaghan was referee. At half-time Waverley was 3 to Kai Iwi’s nil. On resuming Waver ley proved much the superior players. For Waverley Hair and Alaule scored two trios each, Alorris kicked a penalty goal, and Filzgibbon converted one of Alaule’s tries.
