WEDDING BELLS.
J AH VICE —BASON, A quiet but pretty wedding was solemnised at St. Stephen’s Church, the contracting parties being Miss Lorua Lillian, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bason, Waverley, and Mr. Douglas" Christopher eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. C. Jar vice, Wanganui. The Eev. W. Kelly officiated. The bride, who was given away by her father, looked charming in a very pretty frock ot white crepe de chine, with marietta over-dress, vandyked with deep lace, her veil of embroidered tulle being becomingly arranged under a coronet of orange blossom. She carried a beautiful bouquet of chrysanthemums, roses, and carnations. Miss Aileen Jarvicc, ’sister of the bridegroom, was bridesmaid and wore a frock of shell pink crepe de chine, with crinoline hat to match, and carried a bouquet of pink and white chrysanthemums. Mr. W. B. J. Jarvicc, Maxwell, brother of the bridegroom, acted as best, man. After the ceremony the wedding party adjourned to the residence of the bride’s ■parents?, 'where’ the wedding breakfast was set, a special 'feature on the table being a very lino four-decker wedding cake. After the breakfast the bride and bridegroom left by car, the bride wearing a. navy blue crepe de chine dress relieved with apricot, a fawn coat and an American oppossum fur, blue felt hat, champagne shoes, and hose. Among the presents received were a number of cheques, testifying to the popularity of the young couple. Mrs. Bason, mother of tho bride, wore a dress of navy serve, black georgette hat, with ospreys. Mrs. G. Jarvicc, mother of the bridegroom, wore a grey costume and biscuit coloured hat. Miss Jarvicc wore a dress of tomato crepe tie chine with hat to match. Mrs H. Grinstcd, sister of the bridegroom, wore fawn and blue crepe tic chine, witl\ blue felt hat to match. Miss M. Luxtcd, Patea, wore champagne crepe de chine and lace, with hat to match.
