CROQUET
COMPETITION AFTERNOON. On Saturday lust the competition afternoon arranged for trophies presented by Mosdamcs Dallison and Beer was held, when a largo number of members wore present. Following are the winners: — ' Best Score for the Day, Senior: Airs. Hodgson, -IS. Best Score Cor the Day, Jufiior; Mrs. Alt'. Howie, -1 -L Skittles: Mrs. Alt'. Howie, 28 points. Twenty Shots: Mrs. Pepper. Break; Mrs. Boer. Golf Croquet: Miss McMeekin. Consolation Prize; hiss. Sheen. CLOSING OF SEASON. The lawns will be closed after next Saturday, for which date a golf croquet match has been arranged; Mrs. Fames having kindly donated a trophy to the winner of the most points for the day. Given favourable weather an enjoyable day should be spent. At the dose of the competitions the trophies won during the year will be presented, after which a meeting will bo held to appoint officers for the next season. CROQUET MATCHES. The /fallowing matches have been played during the ■week: Mrs. Val. AVybuurne’s Trophy; Mrs. Pepper -beat Airs. R. P. Palmer. Airs. li. P. Palmer’s Trophy; Mrs. Beer and Airs. Alexander beat Mis. Cleary and Miss'McMeekin. Championship: Airs. R. P. Palmer heat Mrs. Bradmoro.
