Good stock fur gravies can be made from the skins of carrots and ouiotus; they contain valuable salts. Before cleaning copper kettles till them with boiling water. They will be found to polish more quickly. Do not use soap to wash a. raincoat, but a solution of lib of alum to three gallons of water.
