THE TIMARU MURDER
FEPKIEVE SOUGHT. Invercargill, February 13. A petition is being promoted here praying (he Governor - General to commute the death sentence passed on Keginald Matthews for the murder of Clarence Wagstaff at Timaru, and the Minister of Justice lias been requested to defer Cabinet’s action pending presentation of the petition. The condemned man is a native of Invercargill.
