COLLISION IN EGMONT STREET

MOTOR v. TRAP A trap accident, occurred in Egmont Street near the County offices on Saturday night shortly after 11 o'clock. It. appears that Mr. L. Cronin was coming into town from the country with a load of passengers in his car, and when near the County offices met a light gig containing two passengers, Messrs Green and Black. It is stated that when opposite the car the horso swerved inwards, the rear mud-guard of the car catching the shafts and wheel of the trap, smashing them completely. Fortunately none of the occupants of the trap or car were seriously injured.
