Itflomcn J. Smith and A. S. Hone of ;hc Kigoma's draft returned home to Waverle'y on Wednesday. The many friends of Mrs J. C. Grny will be pleasod to learn that her condition is improving, and she is now out if danger. Mr Gray returned home from Auckland on Tuesday. Mr P. C. Faris, the popular StationMaster of Waverley is at present off luty, being confined to his bed. It is 'toped that Mr Faris Avill have a speedy recovery. Friends throughout the district will so pleased to learn that. Mr A. V. Mer-.-iman who has been seriously ill in Wanganui for some time is now progressing favourably and it is hoped he .vill be able to return home shortly. Farms in the district still continue o change hands. Mr Coghill, who has icon a resident of Waverley for some 17 years, recently sold his f-arm to Mr ."•layle of Kakaramea. Mr Coghill left for Wanganui on Tuesday. After a >-isit to the Waikato district it is his intention to settle in Wanganui. Settlers of Waverley and district are nvited to peruse Mr. Bromiley's replace advertisement appearing in this issue with regard to his stock of pollard, bran, milk buckets, churns, .-•.trainers, kerosene and benzine, at prices which are stated to be the lowest in the district. Mr. Bromiley has also full stocks of calf meal, including Jercmilk and Tui. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Coy. have received instructions from Mr. F. 11. P/cverill, who has sold his farm, to sell by auction on Tuesday next at the farm, Waverley, the whole of his stock, farm implements, household furniture, etc., full particulars of which will be found in another column.
