PEACE CELEBRATIONS COMMITTEE
FIXAL ARRANGEMENTS The adjourned meeting of the Waverley Peace Celebration Commit tee wis held in the Town Board's room )ii Thursday night, Mr. E. A. Hart presiding, when the following business was transacted. It was decided that the following additions to the programme be made : Public to assemble in front of the Town Board's Offices ar* IL.'-O a.m. on .Saturday to carry out the following programme, viz., musical items by band, reading Peace Proclamation, five minutes silent tribute to the fallen at noon, and singing the National Anthem. The Chairman reported that the A'anganui Pipe Band would be. present m Monday to take part in the celebrations. .Mr. Taylor reported that the matter )f refreshments was arranged for with the ladies. It was decided that Messrs E. P. Calmer and D. Taylor be authorised to procure souvenir badges for the chilIrcn, and Chinese lanterns for the torchlight procession. Mr. Hands said ho would like it made generally known that there would bo a Thanksgiving Service in .ho Town Hall on Sunday at 2.30 p.m., he band being in attendance, and hymn sheets would be provided. It was also decided that a dance be held on Monday night and that Messrs Walker and Jones be a committee to arrange for street decorations. The meeting then terminated.
