THE REFORM LEAGUE. The Executive . At the conclusion of the Conferenee of tho Political Reform League held in "Wellington last week, the following were elected members of the Executive for the year—Messrs H F Von flaast, W H D Bell, M.P., C B Morrison (all of Wellington), Sir Walter Buchanan (Wairarapa), AH Russell (Hawkes Bay).iD H Guthrie M.P. (Ororua), H H|Ackland (Ohristchurch). K W Ali?on, E H Woods new Auckland Waterside Workers' Union), M A Clark (Auckland) Jas Wall (Taumaranui), C F Ferguson (Marlborough), R Scott M.P. (Otago), Lady members : Mrs J P Campbell I (Auckland), Mrs Rolleston (Christ- , church). A remit dealing with Bible-iu-Schools was rejected, on the ground that it was a non-party question. I The Pafea Sear. At a meeting of the Hawera branch of the Liberal League, it was unanimously decided to support the nomination of Mr W. Morrison, of Maxwelltown, at to-day's conference of delegates, to be held in Pacea for the purpose of selecting a candidate to oppose Mr Pearce at the coming election. Ic is expected that Mr Morrison will alao receive the suppoit of the surrounding branches. Mr P. O'Dea, who oontested the seat in the Liberal seat in the Liberal interests at the last eleotion, will be one of •the delegates from Hawera 'at the conferonoe.—Star. | ——— Liberal Rally. To-day will be unique in the history of Liberalism in the Patea electorate. At 4 30 p.m, delegates from all parts of the electorate assemble in conference, (the chief business being the selection of a candidate. A 745 Messrs T M Wilford and W D 5 McDonadld, M.'sP., will address a public meeting. Both these gentlemen are recognised authorities on matters political and Patea electors will no,doubt show their appreciation of a visit from such eminent members of the Progressive Liberal Party by filling the Town Hall. His Worship the Mayor will preside ' At 10 pen. after the public meeting a smoke concert will bo tendered the visiting politicians and delegates in the supper room where the final rally will be held. Tickets may be procured at the door.
