RIOTERS GAOLED.
Nine Months Imprisoment. Archibald Campbell and William Henry Lawton were charged before the Chief Justice on Saturday with taking part in a riot in Wellington. After hearing evidence the accused Campbell was sentenced to eight months imprisonment with hard labour, and Lawton to nine months’ imprisonment in addition to three months which he is now serving.
