MR JELLICOE AND HIS SUPPORTERS.

Weluixtjtox, June 1. The public meeting of supporters and admirers of Mr Jellicoe held in the Opera House was largely attended, in fact crowds were unable to gain admission. The chief question really discussed was the Supremo Court’s and the AppeaTConrt’s action with reference to Mr Jeliicoe’s recent charges against Judge Edwards. At times the .meeting was rather lively, but generally the speaker had a good hearing. Desolations were carried in favour of the Government taking steps to remove Judge Edwards, and also in favour of legislating in the direction that provision should he made to protect those who reasonably thought a judge was biased and moved accordingly.
