AT a Special Meeting of the Patea Borough Council, held at the Council Chambers, Oxford street, Patea, | on the 17th day of November, 1895, it | was resolved — j 1. THAT a Special Order be made forming a Special Bating District within the Borough of Patea, comprising the properties within the following boundaries: — Blocks YU, YIII, XII, XIII, XVII, XXII, XXXY, XXXVI, XL., and sub-divisions 1 to 38 of Block 44, and subdivisions 1 to 27 of Block 46. 2. AND That this Order be confirmed at a Special Meeting of the Council to be held on MONDAY, 23rd day of December, 1895, A Plan of the proposed Rating District is deposited at the Town Clerk’s Office, Oxfori street, Patea.
ALSO-- “ In the matter of ‘The Local Bodies Loans Act, 188 G.” AT a Special Meeting of the Patea Borough Council, held at the Borough Chambers, Oxford street, Patea, on the 17th day of November, 1805, it was resolved — 1. THAT for the purpose of pro* viding a water supply for the prevention of tires a loan of £BOO be raised under the provisions of “ The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1886,” 2. THAT for the purpose of pro* viding interest and sinking fund on the said loan a Special Bate of one penny throe farthings in the £, sterling be made and levied ( on the ratable property with' in the Special Bating District, and that such rate be an annual recurring rate for twenty six years, and payable (if required) in one sum on the first day of October in each year. 3. THAT the cost of raising the loan and the first year’s hi' terest be paid out of the ' loan. 4. THE amount to bo set apart in each year towards paying off the loan to be £IG 10s Od. 5. THAT a Special Meeting of the Council be held on MON - DAY, 23rd December, 1805, to confirm the said resolution. A meeting of the ratepayers interested in the above proposal will be held in the Borough Chambers, Oxford street, Patea, on MONDAY, 23rd December, 1805, at 8 p.m. Town Cleric.
