Special Rating District, AT a Special Meeting of the Patea Borough Council, held at the Council Chambers, Oxford street, Patea, on the 17th day of November, 1895, it was resolved—1. THAT a Special Order be made forming a Special Rating District within the Borough of Patea, comprising the properties within the following boundaries:— Blocks VII, VIII, XII, XIII, XVII, XXII, XXXY, XXXVI, XL., and sub-divisions 1 to 38 of Block 44, and subdivisions 1 to 27 of Block 16. 2. AND That this Order be com firmed at a Special Meeting of the Council to be held on MONDAY, 23rd day of December, 1895. A Plan of tbo proposed Rating District is deposited at the Town Clerk’s Office, Oxford street, Patea. ALSO- I j “In the matter of ‘The Local Bodies Loans Act, 18SG.” J AT a Special Meeting of the Patea Borough Council, held at the Borough, Chambers, Oxford street, Patea, on the 17th day of November, 1895, it was resolved- 1 1. THAT for the purpose of providing a water supply for the prevention of fires a loan of £3OO be raised under the provisions of “ The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1886,” 2. THAT for the purpose of providing interest and sinking fund on the said loan a Special Rate of one penny three farthings (li’d) in the £. sterling be made and levied on the ratable property within the Special Rating District, and that such rate be an annual recurring rate for twenty six years, and payable (if required) in one sum on the first day of October in each year. 3. THAT the cost of raising the loan and the first year’s interest be paid out of the ' loan. 4. THE amount to be set apart in each year towards paying oil tbo loan to be £IG 10s Od. 5. THAT a Special Meeting of the Council be held on MOM - DAY, 23rd December, 1895, to confirm the said resolution. A meeting of the ratepayers interested in the above proposal will be held in the Borough Chambers, Oxford street, Patea, on MONDAY, 23rd December, 1895, at 8 pm. W. S. HARPER, Town Clerk.
