* London, Sept. 29.
At a meeting of the Bank of Australasia the profit and loss account showed a credit balance of £50,495. The deposits amount to £12,099,709, securities and cash items £5,545,182, and bills and advances £11,737 7(53. The Directors, in their report, regret to state that business in the colonies for the half year seriously rostictfcd advances and diminishei exchange profits Later reports indicate a growing belief that the extreme point of the depression has passed.
