London, July 23. At a meeting of the shareholders in the New South Wales Mortgage, Loan and Agency Company, Mr A, Lawrie, the chairman, said they were writing down properties by £74,000, and pending the issue of debentures stock to meet the present debt would probably make a call of one pound per share. The liability upon debentures was under a quarter of a million. London, July 24. At a meeting of the Australian Agricultural Company, the Chirman said that during the decade the income had declined 30 per cent- The average price of sheep was now only 11s 7d. They had decided not to sell the land at Newcastle, as they believed it was destined to be a manufacturing centre.
