Never has a tea been plucked and prepared for the market with greater cleanliness, vide following extract from a pamphlet on Tea Cultivation and Manueature.” “ How much is gained in point of cleanliness by the employment of machinery in rolling becomes evident if the effect of the operation upon the leaf is considered, &c., &c. In China this operation is performed by band, and it only requires that process to be pictured to see that in it the leaf must derive a considerable amount of dirt and perspiration from the hands of the unwashed Mongolian.” This portion of Tea Manufacture is done by Machinery in the case of SCRATUIiA TEA,
