KAKARAMEA.

The meeting of householders for the purpose of receiving the report of the school committee and electing their successors took place on Monday evening last. The report and balance-sheet (shewing a credit balance of £3 3s lid) were read and adopted, after which the following gentlemen were elected to form the new committee; —Messrs Armstrong, Grant, J. Kells, John Paterson, E. Payne, Tong and Ward, and the meeting closed. The new committee then met, when Mr Paterson was re-elected chairman and Mr E. Payne secretary for the current year.
