A football match was played on Saturday afternoon between the Waverley and Patea teams, on the ground of the former and resulted in a victory for the latter team, by 21 to nil. Want of space precludes us from giving a full account of the match, but we understand that the game was well contested throughout, and in a thoroughly pleasant manner, and hopes are expressed of a return match at an early date.
