f REUTER—COPYRIGHT. J (Received March 4, l a.m.) MELBOURNE, March 3., Commotion has been scratched for the Australian Cup. The Governor and- Premier have telegraphed their congratulations and good wishes to the New South WaLs troops. Sir William Jervois arrived here today from Sydney. Arrived, this morning, Paramatta, with English mail, SYDNEY, This day. As the steamship- Iberia, rone of the transports, was leaving the Heads yesterday, afternoon she came into collision with the steamer Nemesis, one of the escorting fleet. Two women and a child were crushed to death by the collision. One of the deceased was watching her; husband off to the Soudan. During the procession of the contingent to Circular Quay a great many accidents occurred, the crush in some places being terrible. Parliament is summoned to ' meet on theT7th inst. ' .
