EDUCATION BOARD.
The usual monthly meeting was held yesterday. The results as far as our part of the district is concerned are as follows :
Patea —Letter from Miss Williams, Patea, asking for a certificate. Relegated to the Board.—Permission given to engage Mr Baldwin as truant inspector. Waverley The committee wrote, recommending that three months’notice of dismissal be given to the head teacher. Deferred till 2 o’clock subsequently the recommendation was given effect to. The same committee recommended the board to defer appointing an assistant tillfurther applications are received. , Left in the hands of the inspector. The Waverley teacher wret.e complaining of the nonattendance of Miss. McLean for. instruction. , Miss McLean wrote in explanation, and the explanation was accepted. :
