WAVERLEY RACECOURSE.

The resarve known as the Waverley Racecourse having been brought under the “Public Domains Act, 1881,” it may be interesting to Waverley residents to know the regulations &c. connected with tho management of the reserve. It is called the Okoluku Recreation Ground, and the hoard _ of management the Okutukn Domain Board. The members gazetted are Messrs John Hair, J. W. Thurston, W. Wilson, Owen Hawes, and H, F. Mason. Tho regulations are as follows: (1) The Board shall meet for (hr transaction of business on tho first Friday in each month at 3 p.m., at the Old Town Hall, Waverley, or at such other time or place as-’may from lime to time_.be fixed by the Board. The first meeting shall be held on Friday the 9;b November, 1883. (2j Special meetings may be convened by the chairman or by any two members of the Board provided that ten days notice of such meeting be given to each member, specifying the buiuness to be transacted at such special meeting, and no other business than that so specified shall be transacted at such meeting. (3) Any three of (he said Beard shall form a quorum. Any meeting may be adjourned from time to time. (4) The members of the B uml shall, at their first meeting and thereafter at an annual meeting to bo held on the second Tuesday in January in every succeeding year (hereafter elect one of themselves to be chairman, who may join in the discussion and shall have an original as well as a casting vote. The chairman shall hold office until the election of his successor. (5.) If at any meeting the chairman is not present at the time appointed for holding (ho same, (he members present shall choose some one of their number to be Chairman of such meeting. (6.) If by resignation, death, or incapacity, or otherwise the office of Chairman shall be or become vacant, tho members may at any monthly or special meeting appoint a chairman. (7.) All questions shall bo determined by the majority of votes of the Board present at tho meeting.
