PATE A WEST ROAD BOARD.
The ordinary meeting of the above Road Board was held at Knknraraea on Thursday. There were present Messrs B. Morgan (chairman), Burke, Campbell, Pearce, Parsons, and Wilson. ; It was resolved on the motion of Mr Parsons, seconded by Mr Wilson, “That £l4O be appropriated for improvements to roads during the presentyear, reserving the balance for contingencies.” . It was resolved to draw Mr Peacock s attention to the bad state of tne approach to the gateway across the Tauraalia road and to request him to repair it at once. Messrs Jacomb of Patea and F. Cowern of Manntahi were appointed 16 impound all stock from off the-District Roads, the remuneration to be the driving fees. Ah account for grubbing on the upper Ball Road was passed for payment and the Board then adjourned.
