’ NOLAN, TONES AND GO’S STOCK REPORT FOR JUNE. During the. early part of the month there was little or no sale for any class of stock, but prices have been gradually improving since. Sheep of good quality (more, particularly ewes in lamb) there is good inquiry for. The sale at Manaia on the 14th was rather dull, most of the stock entered having to be turned out unsold. At our sale of Mr Peacock’s cattle, the stock were in ex. ceedingly poor condition, but being unreerved, the prices were satisfactory. At the Hawera yards on the 28th, there seemed to be an unsatisfied demand for cattle, and* although the yards were more than filled’ with two exceptions every lot sold at the hammer. Cattle —At Manaia 110 head sold: Weaners, 29s ; 2-year-old heifers, £2 10s ; 3-year-old heifers, £3 5s ; fat cows, £4 7s 6d* At Mr H. S; Peacock’s clearing sale, 320 head sold : Cows and heifers.from 37s 6d to £2 7s 6d ; 18-months-old steers, £2 4s to £2 11s ; 2 to 3-year-old steers, £4. At Hawera 340 head sold : Weaners, 26s to 30s; yearlings, 40s; 18-month-old heifers, £2 5s to £2 12s 6d ; 18-month-old steers, £2 5s to £3 6s ; 2-year-old steers, L 3 17s 6d ; to 3-year-old bullocks, £4 13s to £5 ss;, store cows, £2 10s to £2 15s; fat cows, L 4: ; fat bullocks, L 6 15s. v . '■ Sheep— About 2000 have passed through our hands during the month ; -Shorn lambs, 4s 9d ; lambs in wool, 6s 7d; ewes in lamb 7s to 9s 3d; store ewes, 6s; fat ewes, 8s 6d to 10s 6d ; forward wethers, 10s 6d. Horses —A good many have been entered at the different sales, and mostly changed hands, hut at low figures; Medium young, draughts from Ll2 to Lls ; heavy draughts LlB to L20 4 good hacks, Ll2 to Ll6 .
