The attention of breeders is solicited to the pedigree of this most fashionably bred horse, who is now in his prime and in splendid condition. Mufti ” (Class A, Stud Book) is by the premier stallion, Traducer, who has for the last three seasons stood at £IOO guineas a mare. Traducer’s stock have everywhere performed creditably, and include such noted animals as Lurline, Calumny, Le Loup, Betrayer, Trump Card, Fishook, and others. Traducer’s pedigree is a very brilliant one, as it includes all the most valued strains of the English stud for the last century. On the dam’s side Mufti is also remarkably well connected, being out of Flat Iron by Peter Flat—Emma by Gil Bias—Emily by Operator—Flora Mclvor by Rouse’s Emigrant, &c. Peter Flat was one of the most successful performers that has loft England, and possesses a splendid pedigree. [Sec Stud Book]. Flora Mclvor was one of the best marcs ever foaled in Australia, and her descendants arc always eagerly sought after by breeders and racing men. Flora Mclvor was the grand dam of Figaro, Bay Middleton, Cossack, Nutwith, Zoe, and Waimea—the latter being the dam of Manakau, Toi Toi, and others, 'i oi Toi is the dam of Kakapo, Harekekc —dam Korai, Totara—sire of Longlands, Papapa, Rama Rama, and other wellknown performers. It will thus be seen that Mufti is well worthy the patronage of breeders who wish to keep to racing strains. Mufti is a golden chestnut, standing 15 hands 3 inches high, and is splendidly proportioned, and of excellent constitution. Mufti’s racing performances are too well known to require any reference here. Mufti will travel between Patea, Opunaki, and New Plymouth.
