Prizes. A cup value £3 3s will be presented to the competitor scoring most points in the 100 yds, 200 yds, and f- mile Handicaps. Children’s prizes will be distributed during the day.. Entries close at 9 p.m. on Saturday, 16th December, and letters bearing postmark of that date will be accepted. Handicaps will appear in Patea Mail Wednesday, December 20th, Half entrance fee to be paid on entering, and half on acceptance. Acceptances and entries for the Maiden Plate close on Saturday, 16th December, 1882., The rules of the Wanganui Jockey Club will be adhered to, as far as practicable. All nominations to contain age, name, color, sex, pedigree, and performances of horses, and name of owner. Colors of riders to be sent in with acceptances. No entries will be received for the above races except on the following condition : —That the decision of the stewards on all points shall be final.
