As showing the urgency |for additions to the Patea school, we may mention that the building was much crowded on Friday, 236 children being present. Mr Foul is finished his inspection of the Patea school this afternoon. Before dismissing the children he spoke in high terms of their behaviour and the excellence of their work. Mr Aitchison who was present on behalf of the Committee, sanctioned a holiday to-morrow. Three ringing cheers were gives for the Inspector, the Schoolmasters, and the Committee, the Inspector remarking that lung disease was evidently unknown in t he district.
The Borough Council Election. MR BARTON will adross the Ratepayers at the Harmonic Hall, on MONDAY EVENING, the 4th day of December, at 7.80 p.m.
