KARARAMEA CATTLE YARDS .

Mr P. R. Jackson has written to Mr J. Ball forwarding a letter received by him from Mr Blackett re the cattle yards at Kakaramea. It will be seen fromthe letter that there is every prospect of the yards being; erected : Public Works Office, • Wellington, 14th Nov. 1882. Sir, —I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your letter of the 30th ult., requesting that -cattle yards should be erected at Kakaramea Station, and in reply to inform you that your application will be submitted for the consideration of the Minister of Public Works so soon as the report and estimate, now being called for, are received from the Resident Engineer.' I have &c., John Blackett, Engineer in Charge North Island. Freeman R. Jackson Esq., Chairman of Public Meeting of Kakaramea settlers.
