The Canterbury Acclimatisation Society have received information from Mr R. J. Creighton, that the stock of Ligurian bees in the possession of the Society was amply sufficient for acclimatisation purposes. He also forwarded some seed of the double poppy, the flower of which was greatly preferred by the Ligurian bees. He would try to send some seeds of white and purple sage, celebrated as honey plants ; also some quail and brook trout. He would also send a preserved specimen of American salmon.
