With regard to the report that the Armed Constabulary wore under orders to march on Parihaka, to demand surrender of Hiroki, and to take To Whiti if the murderer were not given up, your correspondent is authorized to say there is no truth in the report. The Government here have received no information on the subject; and as the Native Minister is now on his way to Wellington, no sagfehstep could have been conttmplatccWKthis time.
