The Homeward Frisco mail was delivered in London on the 11th. The Homeward ship Crusader, from Lyttelton 4th February, reached London May Bth. The Weather has been severely wintry this week. A favorable change set in yesterday. Rain and high wind had been almost continuous for several days, and the roads became very heavy, pools accumulating in every hollow. A few hours sunshine has dried up the roads wonderfully. Three Suicides were committed on the steamer Orient, during her outward voyage to Adelaide. The Waitotaka Prisoners have boon lodged in Carlyle Lock-np since Wednesday. Only one of them, Lambert, has obtained the required baii, and he was let out yesterday. The charge of riotous disorder and assault will be heard here next Wednesday. The Patka steamer has been weatherbound in Wellington, but she sailed at six o’clock last evening for Patea, with cargo. The Concert and Ball, projected by the Harmonic Society, arc fixed for the Queen’s birthday. The programme is advertised to-day. At the R.M. Court yesterday, before G. A. Wray, Esq., 11. M., Mr W. D ixon, of Carlyle, obtained a judgment against Thomas Fisher, Kakaramea, painter, for £9 11s balance of account; defendant to pay in a month. The Prince of Wales’s second son, Prince George, will visit the Australian Colonics, and probably New Zealand also. He is coming over in H.M. S. Bachanto, Patea s.s. Comi’AXV. —At the adjourned annual meeting, held in Carlyle yesterday, the proceedings being private, the following business was done: Present, Messrs Tenneut, Christie, Toplin, Foreman, Gibson, Mcßae, and Adams: Messrs Crease and Griffiths, of Wellington, being represented by proxies through Mr Gibson. Minnies of adjourned meeting read. Proposed by Mr Christie, seconded by Mr Foreman, and resolved, that the minutes bo amended by substituting the word “ six'’ for “five," .-Iso erasing the words “ by ballot,” and adding Mr Contis’ name as a director. Proposed by Mr Mcßae, seconded by Mr Christie, and resolved, that this meeting stand adjourned till Friday, 11th June, at 3 p.m. Sticking Up.—The Railway Paymaster has been bailed up near Walcba, and robbed of £BO. The police are in pursuit. Mr Goscuen is to be ambassador at Constantinople. He declined to be a candidate for London at the General Election for party reasons.
