THE LOST KEY.
TO THE EDITOR OF THE PATEA MAIL. Sib,—ln your issue of the 11th I noticed a letter signed T. Middleman, in which he Accuses the locally called “ Rum Turns " for losing the key of the Blockhouse, and also for keeping it in an uproar. Since the “Rum Turns” commcnscd using the Blockhouse, I oan positively say that there lias never been a key in the door. The School Board had possession of the key, and I think that they are the persons responsible to Major Turner for it. and not the “Rum Turns.” As to the Blockhouse being left in a frightful condition, I can again positively say,’ that the dancers never left it in that state. Tf any member of the Board referred to had taken a ■walk to the Blockhouse a short time back, they would have seen a ■dog tied in it for a fortnight, winch did not belong to any of the youthful dancers. I am, Ac., A “RUM TUM.”
