TASTY BISCUITS, ETC. The following recipes were submitted by the Pahiatua Dental Clinic, and are recommended by naiiy women who have tried them: MALT BISCUITS. (nice buttered). £lb. butter. i tablespoon syrup. 1 tablespoon malt. 1 tablespoon sugar. Melt together, then add: 1 good cup flour. 1 good cup vimeal or* 1 good cup vimax or proteena 1 teaspoon soda. Roll thin and cut into biscuits. ROLLED OAT SHORTBREAD. 1 breakfast cup rolled oats. f teacup of sugar. 1 teacup of coconut. I teaspoon baking powder. 2oz of butter. Little salt. Vanilla. Mix together and press into a flat tin. Bake in slow oven. Cut into fingers. OATCAKE 7oz oatmeal. 2 teaspoons butter or good dripping. \ teaspoon salt. Melt dripping ir. two tablespoons Itoiling water. Mix into oatmeal. Sprinkle board with oatmeal, roll out very thin, and bake slowly till crisp through. For young children, may be modified by using some Sour, instead of all oatmeal.
