FOOD FOR TWO DAYS
JAPANESE MIDGET SUBMARINES United Press A^n.—By Electric . Telegraph.—Copyright. SYDNEY', June 21 The Japanese midget submarines which were destroyed in Sydney on May 31 will soon bo exhibited to the public, states Rear-Admiral Muir-head-Gould, officer in charge of Sydroy’s naval establishments. He said each submarine had carried a crew of two, one an officer. On board liad been found foo<l for two days, including a supply of oranges, a bottle of port, a flash of whisky and bottles of soda. Admiral Gould defended himself ’against criticism for giving the Japanese a naval funeral, declaring: “Such honours, we hope, will be accorded our own men who may fall victims to the enemv. Jt takes courage to mau such steel coffins as these small submarines—the sort of courage that must ho universally admired.”
