Chinese supported by superior artillery, launched a strong counter offensive at Kwantur.g, crossed tin Pa River aid drove into the outskirts of Yunstan, 3l miles north of Canton on the Canton-Hankov' railway and succeeded in cutting the railway south of Yungtan. Chinese intercepted a stronglyarmed Japanese column composed of 170 trucks, seven tanks, and over 10 field pieces near Hsiavi east- of Honan. and killed 500 Japanese.
