NO PHOTOGRAPHS IN PARCELS
Next-of-kin to prisoners of war sometimes fall into the error of including photographs of members of the family in the quarterly parcels. This is not permitted, and such photographs are always removed by the local censor before the parcel is rewrapped and sent off to the post office for transference abroad. Photographs may be sent to prisoners of war by letter in the ordinary way, but not by parcel.
